OUR APPROACH TO ULTHERAPY FOR PALM DESERT, INDIO, AND THE LOS ANGELES AREA
Sagging and drooping facial skin is a common concern as people age, but some people who would like to treat this condition would prefer to avoid surgical procedures such as a facelift. For these patients, Cosmetic Surgery Institute provides a completely non-invasive solution in Ultherapy. Our Palm Desert and greater Los Angeles-area patients can achieve a tightened, lifted look by harnessing the power of ultrasound energy.
At Cosmetic Surgery Institute, we are committed to providing individualized patient care. To meet with Dr. Mo Zakhireh, request a consultation online or call our office for Ultherapy in Palm Desert at (760) 837-0364 to schedule an appointment.
OUR APPROACH TO ULTHERAPY
At Cosmetic Surgery Institute, we are committed to providing safe and effective procedures that produce beautiful results. This approach requires a high standard of service from each of our staff and members of our medical team. We stay up to date on the latest innovations in cosmetic enhancement and have intensive training and experience in all the options we offer.
Ultherapy is one FDA-approved skin care treatment we provide, but our our staff’s training allows them to make recommendations for additional or alternative options that might work best to revitalize your appearance.
YOUR CHOICES FOR ULTHERAPY
HOW DO ULTHERAPY TREATMENTS WORK?
Unlike laser treatments, which penetrate and target the skin, Ultherapy actually bypasses the surface and affects the collagen-containing structural tissues below. An esthetician transmits ultrasound waves through a handpiece, and this energy stimulates new collagen growth over time, leading to firmer, tighter, younger-looking skin. Meanwhile, your surface skin is undamaged.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR ULTHERAPY?
People who would like to tighten sagging facial skin—particularly on the brow, neck, or under the chin—are often good candidates. Many Ultherapy patients are in their 30s or older and have mild to moderate skin laxity. Although this non-surgical option is not a replacement for the extensive rejuvenation of a facelift and neck lift, it can be appropriate for those looking to hold off on having surgery or for those who are not a candidate for surgery.
DOES ULTHERAPY HURT?
There can be some discomfort during treatment, which usually takes 60 to 90 minutes for the full face, but most patients leave feeling comfortable.
*Individual patient results may vary.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE ULTHERAPY PROCEDURE?
At the beginning of your Ultherapy treatment, an esthetician will clean your skin and apply an ultrasound gel, much like during other kinds of ultrasound imaging. The esthetician will then position the handpiece against your skin and view images of your structural tissue that are transmitted back to a screen. When the esthetician sees the right place for treatment, he or she uses the same handpiece to deliver targeted, precise ultrasound energy to just the right depth. The full face can be treated, or you can focus on a smaller area such as the brows.
Our Ultherapy patients generally need just one treatment to achieve the lift they desire. As a non- invasive procedure, Ultherapy requires no downtime. Patients sometimes have mild redness, but this typically fades within a few hours. Slight swelling, tingling, and tenderness may also be present for a few days, but these effects are usually minor. You can return to work or your normal activities right away.
OTHER OPTIONS FOR ENHANCING YOUR LOOK
Many combination cosmetic plastic surgery procedures also include facial sculpting such as a facelift and neck lift or eyelid surgery. Medical spa treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic can also provide temporary cosmetic improvements without downtime.
