Meet Dr. Mo Zakhireh
About Dr. Mo Zakhireh at Palm Desert's Cosmetic Surgery Institute
Dr. Mo Zakhireh, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Palm Desert serving Palm Springs, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, Riverside, Orange County, and other nearby communities, saw firsthand the benefits of cosmetic surgery at a very young age. A family member was born without an ear, and the plastic surgeon recalls her struggles vividly: "Every time since I can remember, I’ve been around ear, nose, and throat doctors and plastic surgeons," he says. "I fell into it that way. I was in awe of them and what they could do to heal people."
A Texas Tech Medical School graduate, Dr. Zakhireh completed his general surgery residency at UCLA Harbor. Upon finishing a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Utah, Dr. Zakhireh was invited to join the staff as a professor of plastic surgery. A New Beginning in Palm Desert
Although he enjoyed his time in Salt Lake City, a 2004 visit to the Coachella Valley drastically altered his plans.
"I absolutely fell in love with it here, and I moved six months later!" he enthuses. "The mountains and open spaces have an exotic, calming quality to them."
In 2005, Dr. Zakhireh joined the team at Cosmetic Surgery Institute of Palm Desert. When Dr. Craig Ball retired in December 2007, Dr. Zakhireh took over the practice.
"We’re the premier full-service cosmetic surgery center in the desert," he says. "We offer both surgical and non-surgical solutions to cosmetic issues under one roof. In addition, our medical staff and estheticians are exceptionally customer service driven."
Accomplished among Palm Springs area plastic surgeons, Dr. Zakhireh specializes in facelifts, tummy tucks, liposculpturing, and breast augmentation. Dr. Zakhireh is proud that vendors have noted his practice number one in the valley for BOTOX® Cosmetic and Restylane® treatments.
"People come to us to transform their lives," he explains. "Their bodies may have been broken by time and Mother Nature, but we can transform their bodies and make them whole again. We are very fortunate at CSI, because we are at the crossroads of something very special. It’s truly a privilege to come to work and take part in these transformations each and every day."
